Yorktown, New York, needed a new website that was visually appealing and mobile-friendly. 

The old website lacked many modern features that today's sites have. One of the biggest issues was its lack of style and graphical elements. Though it did provide the community with transparent and informative content, the site felt "bare-bones" at times and needed something more visually appealing to show off the New York City neighborhood. In addition, residents had difficulty accessing the site through mobile devices, which made it harder for some in the community to get the information they needed at a moment's notice. 

To revitalize the website, Yorktown selected Municode and their Website Design & Hosting Services after reviewing multiple unique websites in their portfolio. The new website has more photos and colors to give it an elegant design. This also helps with the navigation of the site. For example, the quick links have been uncovered from the mega menu and onto the home page, each with its own image. Rotating images showcasing the town's natural beauty and gives each user who visits the site something different to look at each time. Scrolling down through the homepage reveals even more content, with spotlight highlighting the most recent and pertinent news, upcoming events, and lastly a video tour of the wonderful town. Every page is also now mobile-friendly and when viewing on a smartphone, the website takes the look, feel, and design of a mobile app.
