Our ADA Strategic Partner, CommonLook, Helps Google Launch New Accessibility Feature
This month marks the 30 year anniversary of the Americans With Disabilities Act and since then, document accessibility has come a long way. Google, with the help of our strategic partner, CommonLook, has unveiled a new feature to increase accessibility for Chrome's one billion users worldwide. When Chrome 85 launches in late August, the browser will automatically create a tagged PDF when web pages are printed and saved as PDFs. These tagged PDFs contain metadata about the document's structure such as lists, tables, headings, paragraphs, and image descriptions. This makes the document more accessible to users with disabilities, especially those who utilize screen readers to access PDFs.
We could not be more proud of our partner CommonLook and Google's commitment to social justice in information technology. This falls in line with Municode's dedication to providing the best service for our clients and the communities they serve.
CommonLook has a special offer until the end of the year. Click here to learn more.
