There are many vendors that are out there. Another reason why we chose Municode was because of the fact that the platform is not proprietary. If you use a company like Civic Plus you pigeonhole yourself into only one vendor being able to service your website. Municode uses a platform called Drupal which in the IT world is a system that most computer programmers can work on. This is called an open-source system. This will allow your organization to be able to solicit competitive solicitations rather than expensing a ton of money to build a website with only one vendor that has a proprietary platform."
