St. Anthony, Idaho, wanted to modernize their numerous publications by utilizing a digital platform. Also, they wanted each one to be available online for residents to view. St. Anthony has eight distinctive publications: Municipal Code, Municipal Resolutions, Public Notices, Agendas, Minutes, Financial Reports, Newsletters, and Proclamations. Their old methods of handling each proved to be tedious and inefficient. Files and documents were scattered across multiple places, making the process of editing, revising, drafting, or voting on any publication time-consuming. Uploading these to their municipal website was just as time-consuming as staff had to scan each page individually into a downloadable PDF. Though residents could view the publications, they were not searchable and required residents to navigate multiple pages to find what they were looking for.

Realizing the need for a singular approach to all of their publications, St. Anthony sought out the help of Municode and their Policies & Procedures Software. Now, the staff has a digital and quick approach to handling their Code of Ordinances. Drafting, revising, editing, and collecting approval are all done through the platform, empowering staff to effectively manage their publications and ensure they are always up to date. Though they all exist o the same platform, each publication can utilize separate, customizable work-flows and assign role-based permissions. This gives staff flexibility in how they manage their publications and is why St. Anthony has such an easy time handling so many at once. All eight publications are available in one place and include a unified search engine, allowing residents to find what they need effortlessly.
