MESSAGES FOR DALE
Dale, "Thank You!" for your years of dedicated service both to Municode and to our customers. When you first started flying for Mr. George, Municode served just over 700 customers....Thanks to You.....we now serve over 4,000! This would not have been possible without you. You selflessly traveled the country for weeks at a time on our behalf. You attended every meeting, every trade show and every event possible....making hundreds of friends along the way. All of us owe where we are today, to you. Your love of our customers, your loyalty to the team and your desire to help Strengthen Democracy are an inspiration to me and will motivate generations of Municode employees for years to come. We love you Dale and we look forward to celebrating with you as you move on to your next chapter....a WELL DESERVED retirement! Thank you!
Eric Grant, Municode

Blaine Click, Municode
Dale, you are a true legend in our industry. You have set such an exemplary example for myself and others to emulate. I will miss you, but I know that so many of our customers will miss you even more. Wishing you good health, peace, and bountiful fishing expeditions. As we say in the Navy… Fair winds and following seas!
Brian Gilday, Municode
I can’t tell you how much that I am going to miss working with you on a day to day basis. It still seems like yesterday when you and I hung out together at that conference in Kennebunk, Maine in that absolutely horrible weather. It always looked forward to your calls where your first question was always, "so what have you sold today" and then we would have a chuckle or two together. There are so many stories that we could tell; but that's for another time.
I can honestly say that you are truly a father figure to me and have absolutely appreciated the time we had working together. I remember when Susie Corbett asked me at the Milwaukee IIMC which in line of your kids that I was and letting her know that I did not have the honor or pleasure to have that title; but still respected you just the same.
Thank you for everything you have done for Municode, the industry, IIMC and the Foundation. As I said before when people asked me about when you would retire, "You don't replace Babe Ruth or even try to be Lou Gehrig or Joe Dimaggio. I just hope to be Mickey Mantle when you retire."
Thank you and happy hunting and fishing
James Bonneville, Municode
Congratulations on your retirement Dale! Going to miss seeing you and your turtles.
Karen Sublett, Wichita, KS
Dale, first of all I want to say congratulations on your retirement. I want to thank you first of all for making me a member of the turtle club. It was an honor to be inducted into the club by you, which will always hold a special place in my heart and I will think of that day every time I look at my turtle collection. I have known you for the majority of my life since I've been with the company for 40 plus years. I started with the company when I was a senior in high school, and I can remember meeting you the first time and I will always remember your smile and your laugh. You were always full of joy and always ready to share your knowledge of the company with anyone that was willing to stop and listen to you. I have enjoyed listening to your stories of your time and adventures on the road. I also want to thank you for always being very supportive of our pink lemonade stand. You will be missed greatly but I can't wait to hear the stories of your new adventures on the road of retirement. I know you aren't really retiring but starting the next chapter of your life. Enjoy and can't wait to see you at the next company get-together!
MaLinda Allen, Municode

Your support of educating clerks is pivotal in ensuring that local governments are run well and ethically. Dale, thank you so much for hiring me 6 years ago even if it was after 3 interviews. :-) You have made my journey with the company so exciting and enjoyable. To say I will miss you will be the understatement of my career. I cannot thank you enough for teaching me the ropes to our industry.
I have 2 special memories I want you to remember forever. I think that is the first time you saw this Texas girl in action. While in the middle of all the fun you leaned over to me and said, "I think you are going to do just fine here." That one sentence meant more to me than you will ever know. That was my stamp of approval and acceptance by the greatest salesman I have ever met.
I hope you and Laura enjoy every single moment of your well deserved retirement. Just remember though that when Laura gets tired of you being at home all the time, you are always welcome in Texas!
Much love and respect,
Krystal Hays, Municode

Greetings, Dale! Congratulations on your retirement - so excited for you! It has been an absolute pleasure seeing you at the conferences over the years and adding to my turtle collection! My entire family LOVES turtles (we've had a few as pets)!! Will never forget the years the small squishy turtle (we named him "Bob") was used as an anchor by my nephew, Anthony, for all his surgical appointments at Children's Hospital. He just recently had one of his major/final surgeries and is in recovery mode. It has been quite a journey! Meanwhile, the stuffed turtles have served as my other nephew, Rusty's, sleep companion for many years. The "boys" are now 18 and 19 (time sure flies) and although the turtles do not serve in the same capacity as when they were little, they have great memories attached to them! Your company has been a delight to work with in my years here in Agoura Hills (going on 18 years here!) and I look forward to at least a few more years until I retire. Thank you for the professionalism, the fun, and the caring - we appreciate you and your company immensely! Due to the pandemic, we didn't get to see you at CCAC so this will serve as my "virtual" farewell. Wishing you the absolute BEST in your future endeavors. Enjoy your retirement to the fullest! Be healthy; stay safe! Hugs,
Kimberly Rodrigues, City of Agoura Hills, CA
